That is normal.<br\/>The most important thing is that everyone is given the opportunity to voice their opinion and that the meeting can proceed in a respectful manner.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Do's<\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Read the agenda in advance<\/strong><br\/>This way, you know which topics will be discussed and what might be voted on.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Be on time<\/strong><br\/>The meeting can only start smoothly once attendance and proxies have been correctly registered.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ask questions<\/strong><br\/>Don't understand something? Feel free to ask for clarification.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Listen to others<\/strong><br\/>Other owners may have a different point of view. Listen to their arguments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Stick to the subject<\/strong><br\/>Discuss what is on the agenda at that moment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Express your opinion respectfully<\/strong><br\/>You don't have to agree with others to be able to consult with each other respectfully.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Vote when necessary<\/strong><br\/>Your vote is your most important way to exercise influence within the Owners Association.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Don'ts<\/h3>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Do not interrupt others<\/strong><br\/>Everyone should have the opportunity to voice their opinion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Do not make it a personal discussion<\/strong><br\/>A difference of opinion about a building or decision does not have to become a personal conflict.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Do not block the meeting<\/strong><br\/>Questions and discussion are important, but try to move forward together.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Do not expect every problem to be solved during the GM<\/strong><br\/>Some matters first require research, quotes, or additional information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Do not bring new decisions to the table unexpectedly<\/strong><br\/>Topics that require a decision from the owners must be correctly placed on the agenda.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Do not expect the Property Manager to decide alone<\/strong><br\/>The Property Manager carries out their legal and contractual duties, but important decisions belong to the co-owners when a decision of the General Meeting is required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Private questions do not belong at a GM. Ask your private questions directly to the Property Manager. Outside of the GM. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"!h3\">One simple rule<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"p-subtitle\"><strong>A good General Meeting does not mean that everyone agrees.
