How to change your Property Manager

Changing your Property Manager is easier than you think. A Property Manager contract has a maximum term of three years and can only be modified via a vote at the general meeting. These are the most important steps:

  • Submit agenda item: Do you want to change your Property Manager? Then this must be included as an official agenda item for the general meeting. The request must be submitted at least three weeks before the fifteen-day period of the meeting.
  • Vote at the GM: A simple majority (50% +1) is sufficient to not renew the mandate of the current Property Manager and to appoint a new Property Manager. The choice of a new Property Manager is exclusively reserved for the general meeting.
  • Appoint new Property Manager: Upon approval, an owner is mandated to sign the contract with the new Property Manager. This ensures the official appointment proceeds quickly and correctly.
  • Smooth handover: A good Property Manager ensures a seamless administrative transfer, so that the continuity of management remains guaranteed and your association of co-owners does not take a step backward.
